I have diligently kept track throughout the entire process and have looked repeatedly.

Sentence structure and syntax in Dr. Seuss
Like his word choice, Dr. Seuss' sentence style or syntax is very straightforward, seductive, and innocent, making it ideal for young readers. Despite the fact that some of Seuss's words are whole poems, they nonetheless exhibit the same simplicity and innocence. As an illustration, consider the following line from his poem "If I Ran the Zoo." Only one word has been altered in each of the two sentences that make up the opening verse. Everybody else is the same. However, they take on significance and demonstrate how Dr. Seuss used grammar to express the very essence of the lyrical recitation.
I'll get one little one. I'll get a cute one.
No hunter would shoot the deer I'll kill.
He's so sweet, dear, he could take up residence in your bed.
If only he didn't have those horns on his head.
